Where it really counts: In Roche Building 1 in Basel, at 178 metres the tallest building in Switzerland at the time, Geilinger® columns were used, all of which have fire resistance class R90. In total, more than 1100 columns are installed.
The columns are designed for very high loads and are also partly arranged at an angle on the upper floors. Thanks to the external steel casing, any concrete chipping is prevented both in the event of a fire or a possible impact.
