spannverbund GmbH was responsible for the design, manufacture and supply of four raked Geilinger corner columns running on the outside of the slabs and spanning 17 floors, as well as the special column heads needed to connect the columns to the corners of the slabs. These column heads transfer the loads from the slabs directly into the composite columns.

The new office tower, dubbed ‘LVM 5’ after the LVM insurance company that owns it, opened after a construction period of just 28 months. The unusual glass building slopes up towards the sky and is connected to the older adjacent building by an 11th-floor bridge made entirely of glass. Panoramic views of Münster can be enjoyed from the Sky Lounge on the 17th floor.
